Hello, I know this is probably a noob question, but here goes...

With all the images posted around here, its kind of a hassle to open each one in a tab and then dl them. Does anybody know of a fast way to be able to just rip all the images in a webpage? I use firefox, and when I try to use my DL manager, it dosnt download the image, just a php file whatever that is

Anyways, any suggestions would be greatly appreaciated

P.s. Sorry if this is posted in the wrong section

First of all - the following isn't the ultimate solution - but it should be quite convenient:
  1. Using Firefox already? Great.
  1. Get ScrapBook. It's an Addon for Firefox.
  1. Now rightclick on the background when a set of thumnails is displayed that do NOT lead to an image but to a page presenting an image (so you should at least click on one thumbnail first to test the condition).
  1. From the now appearing menu choose ScrapBook's Option for "Storing the page as..." (in German it's: "Seite archivieren als...").
  1. Now choose ONLY to download embedded images (nothing else, no java, especially NO linked images). And just as important: Choose "1" as "depth of folders".
  1. Click "Store" ("Archivieren" in German). In the now appearing screen press "Pause", Choose "Filter this line" ("Diese Zeichenfolge filtern" in German) and type "image", unless of course the images are NOT hosted on "imagevenue" or any host with "image" in its name.
  1. If done right so far you should see that only the "imagehost"-links are still checked. Now look for (most times zero to one) left "main host link" like "imagevenue.com" (plain like that without "/somelink/somemore/page"). If you find one uncheck it, too. Now click START.
  1. The images are stored in the "main folder" which can be changed in ScrapBooks options menu (right click on "ScrapBook" in the AddonList).
You will find that there are also thumbnails an html files in the download folder (ScrapBook automatically creates new folders with new names so you can download as many sites/pages as you like in one row). These can be deleted of course. If I find the time I'll post how you can automate even this.

Best regards and surf save
