Question about uploading sites, probably a dumb one.

I've been trying to use quite a few different uploading sites to host videos, moload.com(I think thats the name), Zupload.com, yousentit.com, and none of them ever work for me. It always takes hours and hours of them sitting on a page that says that it is uploading, only to get like an error message, or a multitude of other outcomes that do not result in a working link that can be used to download a file.

Any ideas what I could be doing wrong?

It could be to do with you being behind a router. It might need ports forwarding.
It may me because of a firewall you may have.
It may be because the site uses java and your version of java is bugged.
It my be because you're on a college internet (ie in dorms or whatever) and its a combination of the above.
