Why do I get several identical email-notification

Lately I started wonder why I get several identical email-notifications about different topics. It doesn't apply to every email but some of them I get up to three times.

I don't mean that I get three emails from the same topic I mean that I get three identical emails with the same text and all.

Just wondering if someone can figure out why this happens!

last time it was from the topic The "Who Would You Do?" Game, I got three emails saying that there was a reply in that topic with the same post in mind.

If you replied to a thread you may have become subscribed to it and will get an email for every reply in the thread after yours. If thats what your talking about, click on the USER-CP button at the top of the page and there it will show you what threads you are subscribed to. There is an unsubscribe button next to each you can click.

That would make sence, but I already checked that, wouldn't I find that that thread listed there several times then?

Also wouldn't I recive emails with different replies if I got them for ever reply after mine, not just the same one over and over without me visiting that thread?

If you commented in a thread and became subscribed to it, every time someone bumps it after you, you will get an e-mail letting you know that there are new posts in that particular thread. so if the thread is popular you can get several for one thread. And if I recall correctly the e-mails you get are pretty generic.

Now you are getting me wrong. I'm not complaining abut getting one email for each new post that is posted in the specific topic, I'm talking about getting three emails for each new post in the topic.

Like this for an example:

Xray has just replied to a thread you have subscribed to entitled - The "Who Would You Do?" Game - in the Jokes & Fun stuff forum of Proving Grounds.

All three emails were sent Tue, 24 Jun 2008 23:13:10
I know that I'm fast but not that fast so that I can visit this topic three times in under a second and that then should get a new email for this topic in while the post is being posted..

Whatever... It doesn't happen to ever single topic I'm subscribed to, but a few!

That looks like a site problem. Hopefully a mod will pop in and give an opinion.
