a good proxy for PG?

i keep trying to use proxies here and they don't seem to work...
any suggestions?

The main problem with proxies is that they tend to block cookies and javascript - forums are pretty rubbish through a proxy!

I've used WorkProxy.net before - you could try them?

Just out of curiosity, why do you need to operate through a proxy?

A fellow forumer of mine (on another site) got sued for uploading and sharing illegal here in the US - I was told its a good way to hide your IP and prevent such things

I can't recommend any but just want to say this. They can be useful but I think if the government or whoever was serious enough about finding out then they could.

I'm sorry to sound doubtful, but I would be absolutely amazed if that had really happened. It's one of those urban legends - always a friend of a friend, and originally started to dissuade people from sharing using the forum format. It's a method that's been recycled for everything from P2P to Bluetoothing MP3s (and everything in between).
