View Full Version : Imagevenue Picture Killers
Many of good sets have been deleted by imagevenue only a few days after upload.
Are they monitoring proving-grounds ?
Maybe making it visible only to registered user is a solution for this problem?
Yes - PG is being monitored.
I don't think forcing registration will work unfortunately - but forcing people to use a site other than ImageVenue (of where there are thousands to choose from) might do...
I'd like to use an alternative upload site but it would be easier and less tedious uploading galleries with an mass uploader program. I wish someone would update IIIUploader more frequently.
Anyway it's happened before, for a short time last year I used Imagebam to upload images before it promptly banned PG, and Shareavenue came and went faster than a fart in a wind tunnel. In the end, despite the deletions, imagevenue is still reliable.
Can anyone suggest a stable alternative to imagevenue?

Each file has an MD5 signature.
For example, the photo
http://img11.imagevenue.com/loc1198/th_52227_hxmpchigffj9ev65wepg_123_1198lo.jpg (http://img11.imagevenue.com/img.php?image=52227_hxmpchigffj9ev65wepg_123_1198l o.jpg)
has the following MD5 signature:
MD5 : 9f0b6abfdfe66076f22ae169dd5f4c80
Image and file hosts operate on the basis of MD5.
If MD5 of a file (jpg, rar, wmv etc.) is reported to them, they will find it and delete it, no matter what the file name is.
So no matter which forum the image gallery or rar is posted to, if its MD5 is known to the hosting service (if it has been reported), it will be deleted very soon.
The image host will scan its uploads on the basis of MD5 signatures and delete all files which match with reported MD5 signatures.
There are ways to work around this.
If a gallery is deleted very fast from imagevenue, then no point in posting it there because they can detect on the basis of MD5. It should be RAR'd and hosted on rapidshare or mediafire and posted.
If an RAR keeps getting deleted from hosting servers, then addding a small text file to it will change its MD5 signature and the file host will not be able to find/delete it.
Why don't you all - for a change - just upload images or files that don't need to
be reported? You yourselves are the cause for your alleged problem of files
constantly being deleted. It's solely up to you to change that.

I like ImageShadow. So far the pics are still there.

Of course! Why didn't I think of that?!? Wow... It's all so clear to me now - thanks random one-post account holder!

I think the main issue with ImageShadow is the amount of work it takes to upload a complete set. It needs something other than a "one-file-at-a-time" approach!

Yeah - but you have to click the browse button for each one, and then locate the images individually. Most of the big hosts give you the option to either drag-and-drop what you want to upload or to at least select multiple images from the same browse dialogue!

Where is that option on Imagevenue? I've never seen that before, only on Imagebam, which is banned for some unknown reason. Image shack has that too.

You're welcome. :)
I found the one-click upload tool, but then I had to download the FTP crap which kept freezing my PC, and now I don't know how to install it beause there's a million files in the folder and the instruction manual might as well be in Japanese for all I can understand it.

If anyone can instruct me as to how to install it, that would be great. I did step 1, after that, forget it.
You're welcome. :)
You do have sarcasm where you come from, right?

It's easier than that mate:

Maybe. :) But hey, what you're doing here is quite obviously illegal. So why do
you keep complaining about your images or archives being removed? Are you
would-be pirates like the guys from ThePirateBay? You know, they also always
complain about other people who're giving them a rough time... this is funny. :)
I'm just a bit curious...

Hey abcde,
Quit your moral policing.
"The biggest hypocrites , rogues, scoundrels in this world are very fond of moral policing."
--- Osho Rajneesh.
This quote is correct. The biggest liars, the biggest rogues in this world are very fond of giving 'moral lectures' to people.
So just shut your trap and take a hike.

Wow. That explains it all. You're probably right, man. :D

Seriously, do you really think people want to see some small tease images or the whole set? It's pretty obvious why report prone content is uploaded and shared.
If you want to enter a money trap, check nudespuri.com = "Want to see more? Click here to enter". Lame.
Anyway, I understand your sarcasm. People complaining about removed images are like people complaining their free McDonalds burger is cold.

abcde:
Yes I am right and I dont need you to know that I am right.
That quote sums up your entire personality.
Now get the hell out.

Why so tied up in knots? This place seems to mean a hell of a lot to you... ;)
abcde has now left the building...
thank you very much...
