Who is Dan Armstrong?

Dan Armstrong was a musician ( a not-so-good one) turned luthier (an excellent one). He designed the original 'see-through' guitar, made of Lucite, back in the 60's.
You can see his name in white lettering on the pickguard of the guitar.
The one she's wearing is not an original, it's a re-issue from.... about 5 years ago, i guess? They're great guitars, they have a really nice tone, and because of the really dense atomic structure of the Lucite, the note just sings and hangs and sustains for a really long time. But they're heavy as Hell, much heavier than a hardwood guitar. I mean, with a 'normal guitar', you could pretty easily give someone a concussion, cause them some serious damage if you smacked them ion the head with it. This thing? More like a spike-studded morningstar mace.
This is one of those Holy Grail guitars, for me, like a Gibson Firebird, a a Fender Nocaster, a '57 Strat, A Gretsch White Falcon, and on, and on, and on....
