Hi,

The most reliable adult imagehost for several years already now accepts uploads of 3MB/image. You'll just have to wait for programs like IIIUploader to be updated in order to use mass uploading features. Alternatively, you can upload manually at ImageVenue or use their own tools like FTP/Archive Upload :).

3MB? But I think they don't accept Gif Files. They accept only Jpeg files. Am I wrong? :D

I can't figure out their FTP tool.. do you login first with your registered user name? Or as anonymous? Do you create a directory for your files? I can't create directories, I get an error.

Yeah, some of the ftp crap can be hard to figure out. I now use boxtheclown.com that has zip upload and a flash upload that I can select a shitload of files (I dont' remember exact count).

Yes. They dont accept gif files, only jpeg & jpg files.

For some reason some of the images I upload in imagevenue die after something like 2-3 weeks after being posted. I find this really irritating as imagevenue is one of the best imagehosts.

Ok I realize this is old news by now but something has been bugging me ever since I heard this.

Max file size 3 MB per photo? I would like to know how big a picure would have to be in order to be 3 MB. Anyone have an example. It doesn't have to be adult.

I'm just having a hard time imagining a photo that big in file size.

Actually, these days that's still quite restrictive!

My 5 MP camera takes photos at 1944x2592 pixels. Saved as a maximum quality JPEG image (i.e. 0% compression) the files average about 3 MB.

It's not uncommon to see Joe Public with 10 MP digital cameras, and most semi-pro and pro photographers take shots around the 20-30 MP range (meaning 12 MB - 18 MB per file).

WOW!
I'm so used to photos taken with your average consumer grade camera that even though they look great they are often compressed to fit all those images on the memory card.

I have a digital camera myself and never really paid that much attention to the file size of the pics. I went back and looked at some vacation photos I had taken and surprisingly that were between 1.5 and 2 MB and I believe that was 5 megapixel shots.

What you said about the pro using 20 - 30 MP cameras. WOW! All this HD/HQ stuff just blows my mind.

Lysergia, thanks for the link to those photos. the thumbs weren't displaying but I clicked on it anyways and was able to see the photos in full size. WOW!
