I assure you I was not looking for anything other than her name.
If I did something that seemed like I was trying to obtain traffic to make money I appologise.

I ran across this photo in a mix with other photos and this girl happens to look a lot like someone I
used to know. I wasn't sure where to upload the photo so I looked at other photos posted here and just tried to do what others did but couldn't figure out how to post the picture in the thread so I just supplied the link. I take it doing so is kind of a faux pas around here.

Wouldn't have been near the issue it was had you selected another host. Preferred hosts here are Imagevenue and xxxphotosharing.com, which you'll find a link to on the front page. After upping your image, or images, copy the code for forums. It will look something like:

[ URL] [ /URL]

Then simply paste to your post.
