why the fuck do you hide the links?!?! i know that you want that your work of uploading be recognized but COME ON!!! you are making so much mess of this forum ... i use to like this forum a lot but now its all a mess , its ridiculous that if i seen a video that i liked in page 3 and put an answer and now it appears in page 1!! what the fuck?!?! it all disorganized!!! i dont know if other people feel like me ... please comment ....
PS: i like the idea of thanking the uploader but obviously not the one of moving the post all crazy ... its ruining the forum!!!

i do it because if i upload something, i don't want it buried on page 10 after some other person posts a bunch of 1-minute streaming videos. it ensures that threads that people like are shown on page one, which is how forums work. and that's not the thing that's ruining this forum, it was ruined once it was taken out of lws.

Well.... I use the "hide" function so that I can get a gauge of just who really wants what I have offered. If there is little reply to the offer, than I can assume that it wasn't really one that anyone really wanted and was therefore a waste of time...
If there are a lot of replies, that tells me that a lot of members were interested and appreciated the offer, and so then it gives me an idea of just what to offer up the next time...
If, as it was before, left unhidden and not require some type of response to get the vid, then I would never know if the offer was popular or not..
I offer up the vids on other sites as well, so by making you respond, it makes it easier for me to see where the most activity happens and so I can concentrate my resources more in that area...
I have found that before the "hide" function was enabled, many would just check out the thread and it could have 1000 views and yet only yield 50 downloads...
Also, with the "hide" function, one is able to see who exactly is responding to the offer(s)... Are they new members with just a short life here and only a handful of posts who come to just grab the vids and then leave, offering nothing and just consuming, or are they being taken by the seasoned members here who have been here for some time and have given back to the group, and help keep it growing and moving forward, or is it a mixture of both...??

I personally like the hide option. Having to post to see something that a user uploaded to whatever site is a rather nifty way of getting that user some feedback. I would like it if more sites had this feature. Not that I'm a member of that many sites, but the few that I am a member of I would appreciate having this feature. Also I know I'm new here but the only way to become known is to post replies :) and hopefully to become a worthwhile member of a community.

This is just how forums work, and I think it's a great system. It keeps the good videos on the front page. It's not meant to be a static ordering system. If even if threads just stayed in the order they were first posted, they would still move, as more threads are started they would move farther back.
If you find a video you like and want to see again, just subscribe to the thread. You can also use the search button to find it. These are both much easyer ways to keep track of videos you like.

Ahhh how right you are. I wish we could go back to PDLs and have guaranteed fast downloads on Private Servers *sigh* (and make some profit from the uploads, too!)
I think the Hide function is fine, though. I mean, yeah a lot of good stuff gets buried, but I think it's good to commend the uploaders for what they're doing (even if the replies in the thread just look like spam ><)

I notice there is a problem and we are looking into what could have caused it.
