Instant perm-ban for redirected links?!

I'll probably be banned by the time you read this, just wanted to get it off my chest before that. This is a response to the very dramatic announcement by Hobo, that any posting of redirected links would lead to instant perm-ban. First of, nobody's forcing you or anybody else to use the links I or other providers post. There just thrown out there for you to catch or let fly.

If you don't like my choice of uploadsite, which I always post, or the fact that I use rapidleecher to give my posts a uniform look, well you can even add me to the ignore list, and never ever have to look at those nasty redirects. Hell, youre the mod/owner/admin/whatever you actually are of the site, so yeah you can ban the lot of us for not just mailing you dvds of porn, or perhaps actually performing it for you ourselves. But I doubt that would be in the best interest of the forum as a whole. Like I don't think perm-banning everybody who post stuff in a way you don't like, will be a good long term strategy.

In conclusion, I'm sorry for any inconvenience I have caused you while providing free porn and please don't destroy this forum before it had a chance to become something.

I don't think anyone is going to punish you for using rapidleecher because it just shortens the url as far as I can tell. We are having a lot of problems with people posting usercash and such links. These send you to sites with popups and a bunch of crap on them.

Well I hope that this doesnt apply to you. What you are doing is one thing, but people posting links to imagecash which have 5 billion popups and 50 redirects before you can actually see the image is another case entirely, those are the types of links which are bad.

Agreed, I have nothing against redirect URLs. (If anything, only things that irritates me are the videos on enwhore and what not- those I can find myself if I wanted to. )

P.S usercash, and even imagefap give me a billion notifications from PCCillin telling me its full of malicious crap.

Why not just link to the Rapidshare directly? It's not really hard. You're getting upset over a non-issue.

I am going to make this short and simple: if you do not like the way I do things, feel free to pm solecistic.
If you do not feel like following the posted rules, feel free to leave.
If you feel like you need redirectors and other spammy type things to post your files, I will ban you.
If you post another redirector, I will ban you.
